Dr Daniel Makori

Dr. Daniel Mogaka Makori is a lecturer in the Department of Accounting and Finance at Kenyatta University, where he also serves as the Chairman of the Departmental Board of Postgraduate Studies Committee. He actively participates in various committees, including the Postgraduate Committee and the Departmental Research and Innovation Committee, and serves as a Staff Mentor in the university's mentoring program. Additionally, Dr. Makori acts as a Rapporteur for the International Business and Industrial Research Conference (IBRIC) and collaborates with the Digital School to review blended learning modules. He has guided numerous MBA and PhD theses and holds the position of an examiner for MSc, MBA, and PhD theses. His research is centered on financial management, with a particular focus on Entrepreneurial Finance, Social Entrepreneurship, Financial Innovations, Working Capital Management, and Environmental Reporting. Dr. Makori has also contributed to training initiatives under the Kenya Youth Employment and Opportunities Project (KYEOP) and co-authored a proposal for the Gender Equitable and Transformative Social Policy for Post-COVID-19 Africa project in partnership with the University of Ghana. In 2026, he is set to participate in the Global Entrepreneurial Talent Management 4 initiative, aimed at promoting well-being through responsible digital innovation.
