T.A.I (Total Active Ignition) – Functional Protein Bar

T.A.I (Total Active Ignition) developed by Alice Kahura, (Food Scientist and Technologist and currently a student at the Technical University of Kenya pursuing her masters), is a functional protein bar that bridges food science, nutrition, and everyday wellness. The product is designed to provide a convenient source of energy and protein using carefully selected natural ingredients, including nutrient-dense plant foods and botanicals. T.A.I targets health-conscious consumers, fitness enthusiasts, busy professionals, and adults seeking convenient, filling snack options that complement balanced dietary habits. Our innovation lies in integrating food technology with functional ingredient selection to develop a differentiated, accessible snack that supports active lifestyles and responds to the growing demand for purposeful nutrition. Beyond product development, my vision is to build T.A.I into a scalable Kenyan food brand driven by scientific formulation, food safety, quality assurance, and evidence-based nutritional claims. Through the Mizani Innovation Hub, I hope to gain the recognition, mentorship, partnerships, and investment opportunities needed to advance product validation, optimize production, and bring T.A.I closer to the market.
